A short walk from the Quadrado in the centre of Trancoso, surrounded by a lush tropical garden, sits the charming Etnia Pousada. The pousada is run by two friendly Italians and currently has 9 rooms in total, 7 bungalows and 2 villas, with 2 more larger villas in the making that will have their own kitchen for those who prefer to be self-sufficient during their stay. Each of the rooms have their own theme with decoration influenced from different regions of the world. There is in-room wifi and air conditioning, and all rooms have their own private terrace for guests to relax on.
There is a lovely pool area nestled in the gardens of the property, a spa and an open air restaurant offering Mediterranean fusion cuisine and seafood fresh from the nearby sea.
The small village of Trancoso is with its famous Quadrado square, a UNESCO site, and surrounding colourful houses is just a short stroll away for guests to explore.
The beach can be reached by a 15 minute walk, and the hotel concierge can help arrange tours to nearby beaches and villages. There are also plenty of options available for those who would like to be a bit more active, such as horse riding, dance or capoeira lessons, surfing and mountain biking.
