This delightful family-run property benefits from quality and unpretentious decoration stylishly combining rustic charm with good homely food.

Set in a 500-acre estate, with stunning views of Gutiérrez Lake, this eco-lodge and mountain resort includes four one to four bedroom houses. There are also four rooms in the main house, including the suite. The restaurant serves up meals using ingredients harvested from the on-site organic vegetable garden, as well as home-made breads, patisserie, pasta, jams, honey, preserves and liqueurs, with Argentinian beers and wines to match.

The estate includes 2 miles of lake-shore at the foot of a steep mountain, pristine forests, creeks, waterfalls and a valley. Due to the size of the estate you can indulge in all activities ‘on-site’ without the need for transfers. Activities include horse riding, biking, bird-watching, fly-fishing, walking with the family Labradors or more adventurous hiking and kayaking. Closer to home you can indulge in massages, yoga classes, wine-tasting, cooking classes, tango and salsa lessons. In winter Alpine and Nordic skiing are available too.

This is a fantastic retreat, rated in the top 30 eco-lodges worldwide by the Guardian and is a great place to spend a few days unwinding in the Argentinian Lakes.
