Andres DC in Bogota

We were asked “Which Andres Carne de Res?”, as the barman at our hotel indulged us with a little nightcap after our evening at Andres DC in September 2017.

It’s easy to work out why. In October 2018 with the opening of his first Medellin
eatery, Andrés Jaramillo is now the owner of five restaurants.

We were totally unprepared for the experience as we stood in a long queue, waiting to enter the three-story building; perfectly normal and part of the fun on our final evening in Bogota when we dined at Andres DC.

“Alice-in-Wonderland meets Moulin Rouge”, says the Latin America 50 Best Restaurant List. The ambience is certainly extraordinary, unlike the food. The restaurant predates Bogota’s current food revolution .
