After a few years of closure in order to restructure and expand, Fasano Las Piedras in Punta del Este re-opened its doors to visitors in 2016. To the existing 20 bungalows, 10 new suites and rooms were added in a nearby building named Locanda Fasano, constructed by Brazilian architect Carolina Proto. The Locanda is located next to the Fasano Restaurant, and offers great views of the property and the surrounding nature, with new leisure areas such as a lounge, swimming pool, solarium and bar.
There are 20 separate bungalows spread out some distance from the main building for a more secluded stay, while the suites in Locanda Fasano offer great views and the shared facilities close by.
There is a large indoor swimming pool, a spa and a private beach. The nearby golf course, tennis court and equestrian centre caters to those who wish to be more active during their stay.
Fasano Punta del Este offers a more relaxed and perhaps less formal setting than its sister hotels in Brazil, yet with all the mod-cons and attention to detail that can be expected from a hotel in the Fasano group.
