Overlooking turquoise waters on the Caribbean island of Providencia, Colombia, lies the well-established luxury boutique hotel Deep Blue.

The décor throughout the property is bright and modern, and the hotel was refurbished in 2012 to re-establish its position as one of the two top options for a stay on Providencia island. There are 12 comfortable and spacious guest rooms, each with its own private balcony. The larger suites also has space for its own sun loungers, and one of them comes with a private jacuzzi.

Rooms have all mod-cons except for wifi which is only available in the reception area.

Relaxing by the pool or on the terrace overlooking the sea is the main activity here, however the hotel can also arrange sea kayaking, trekking, scuba diving, snorkelling and fishing for guests who wish to be a bit more active.

The in-house restaurant, which is also open to the public, serves local Colombian-Caribbean cuisine, and there is also a bar overlooking the water.

The relaxed pace of life on Providencia, the beautiful seaside setting and lack of in-room wifi, makes Deep Blue the perfect place to come for a romantic escape or to unwind and disconnect from the rest of the world.
