Casa Colonial 12 and Casa do Simon are two stylish boutique hotels located in the historical centre of Paraty. The properties are housed in two separate, recently renovated colonial townhouses and each have their own distinct character; Casa Colonial 12 has a modern and stylish décor; whereas Casa do Simon has kept its more traditional colonial style.
The owner’s impeccable taste and attention to detail is in evidence everywhere, bespoke furniture and art sit comfortably within the charm of the original structure. The service is second to none, and everything has been chosen with an impeccable eye, from the linen to the furnishings and local artwork.
Casa Colonial 12 is equipped with three bedrooms and is ideal for a private rental of the whole property for small groups and families. There is a small terraced area with tables and chairs, an open living room area, and a large kitchen which guest have access to during private rentals.
At Casa do Simon there are 5 good-size guest rooms, with the largest room – Suite Julio Paraty, complete with a walk-in closet, steam shower and large bath. You will also find a lovely terraced garden area with a small pool and sun loungers, a cosy living room, and a lounge where complementary afternoon tea and coffee is served throughout the day.
Rooms at both properties have all mod-cons such as wifi, TV, air conditioning and a mini-bar with complementary soft drinks, water and beer. The location of both hotels is ideally situated to enjoy everything this historical town has to offer, and staff are happy to help arrange excursions and book boat tours.
Both properties offer a homely feeling, and is ideal for those who enjoy smaller boutique style accommodation with excellent service and an authentic flavour of town history in one beautiful setting. We also can’t recommend the breakfast enough – in fact we think it may be the best in all of Brazil!
