Overlooking a private stretch of beach at Redonda Bay this delightful barefoot luxury eco-resort invites you to cast off from the world, put your feet up and and de-stress.

Aqua Wellness blends seamlessly into the natural environment with its 40 eco-luxury rooms set within 19 wooden ‘villas’ hidden amongst the trees on the hillside running down to the beach. There are a mix of one, two and three bedroom villas, some with private plunge pools and some with separate living rooms. Enjoy deep comfy beds, elegant rain showers and stunning views through the trees to the beach and beyond.

We loved the beach-front bar deck, which is an intimate place to chill out and relax with a cocktail, and the restaurant serves up healthy local fare with fresh seafood being a speciality. You can also participate in organic chocolate and cooking classes. Meanwhile, the spa’s ‘Pure Wellness in Nature’ programmes make use of local natural products, materials and techniques, while the ocean view yoga deck is a great place to practice whether you are a beginner or experienced. Morning yoga classes are included.

There are many other activities to choose from, including snorkeling, kayaking and swimming in the protected waters of the bay… or jump on a horse and canter along the beach with the wind in your hair. Fishing trips, boat cruises and day trips to Granada are also on offer.
