M/V AnakondaNapo River, Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador

M/V Anakonda started operation in August 2013 and is the most luxurious expedition vessel operating in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest.

With 18 cabins and a maximum capacity of 40 guests, the 45-metre (148 foot) long Anakonda offers three, four and seven-night itineraries from Coca. Travel down the Napo River – one of the major tributaries of the mighty Amazon – visiting remote and pristine forest areas where few have had the opportunity to venture. Interact with indigenous communities and spot exciting wildlife, whilst enjoying the comfort and services on board a floating luxury boutique hotel.

The 18 suites, each with an area of 20 sq metres (approx 215 sq ft) feature sitting areas, large and comfortable beds, and full-wall glass panoramic windows. The observation deck with the outdoor Jacuzzi and the ‘al fresco’ top deck lounge are ideal places to have a cocktail, to relax with a good book or simply enjoy the forest views drift by.

As an all-inclusive cruise, all meals and excursions are included in the price, with spectacular highlights including stargazing, natural medicine, jungle trekking and interaction with local communities. There is also a ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping) option, where guests can sleep in tents in the jungle for one night, rather than sleeping on board, although this incurs a supplement.
