The Country Club HotelLima, Peru
Following an extensive renovation in 2017 the Country Club has in our view been restored to its former status as one of the classiest hotels in Lima. Dating from 1927, the building has been declared a national monument, and the refurbishment works have taken great care to preserve and enhance the English Edwardian style of the former polo club. Most notably, the hotel has been loaned 300 artworks by the Pedro de Osma Museum which are now displayed in the hotel’s own remarkable art gallery and also in the rooms.
Country Club Lima is well located in the upmarket San Isidrio area overlooking the Golf Course (and guests have privileged access to the course). The Perroquet Restaurant is well recognized amongst Lima’s cognoscenti as an excellent place to dine, while the hotel’s Yaku Spa offers a wide range of indulgent massages and treatments.
The 83 rooms and suites are well appointed and generously sized for a city hotel, starting at 430 sq ft for the standard Master room. Some have delightful terraces or small private gardens. For those seeking an elegant and charming historic hotel with quality service and a fine attention to detail, the Country Club is the place to stay in Lima.
