Accommodation
AtemporalLima, Peru
During the 1930’s and 40’s this part of Miraflores was redeveloped as an upmarket residential area and many of the houses reflect an interesting take on European architectural styles of the time. The mix of ‘stockbroker tudor’ and ‘gothic castle’ on display at Atemporal is no exception!
Inside many of the historic features such as terrazzo floors and leaded windows have been carefully restored, but combined with comfortable king-sized beds and modern art. There is a small but tranquil garden behind with an attractive terrace where guests can have cocktails in the evening and breakfast in the morning.
There are also some nice touches such as a chauffeur service in the hotel’s mini cooper (within the local area), free bicycles and a nice sitting area on the first floor where guests can help themselves to tea, coffee and snacks.
There are only 9 bedrooms and the furnishings have been kept simple with clothes hanging rails rather than fitted wardrobes. This part of Miraflores is not the beating heart of Lima, but the hotel is well located for some local restaurants and the Huaca Pucllana ruins.
This hotel is well suited for guests who are spending a last night in Lima at the end of their holiday and want to stay somewhere a little bit different.
