Accommodation
Legado Mitico, Buenos AiresBuenos Aires, Argentina
Stay in a room themed after your favourite Argentinian hero right in the heart of Palermo.
This property immerses its visitors in Argentinian history, with its eleven rooms themed and dedicated to icons from the past including Che Guevara, Carlos Gedel and Eva Peron. Each contains a short history of its themed character so that you can do your research while you relax there. Our favourite room was the Evita themed ‘La Prima Donna’, complete with its own fireplace. If the information in the room whets your appetite to find out more you can further your research in the sumptuous library; sink into a leather armchair surrounded by polo mallets and helmets. The hotel is an old town house, wood paneled throughout the open plan breakfast and library area on the ground floor, which has been decorated with a meticulous eye for detail. This leads onto a covered terrace with garden for more relaxation and siestas.
Located in the fashionable Palermo Viejo, with its plentiful supply of new restaurants and boutique shops, Legado Mitico is a boutique hotel based in one of the most historic and charming parts of the city.
This is one of our favourite hotels, offering extreme comfort in understated style. Expect to shift to Argentinian time here; breakfast is served in the hotel until 11am and evening dining only kicks off from about 9pm. Note that there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, (although there are mini-bars in the rooms and 24-hour snack room service,) but there are a wealth of local restaurants nearby.
