Panamonte Inn & SpaBoquete, Panama

We love the feel of this delightful historic inn, which dates from 1914 and is still owned and run by the Collins family; this is evident in the personal attention to detail.

The rooms and suites are spacious and laid out around lovely mature gardens, with access via covered walkways. There is also a cozy bar and lounge serving cocktails and light dishes if you do not want to dine in the restaurant. This, however, is one of the high points of the establishment. The owner’s son, Charlie Collins, is a well-known local chef with a cooking school in Panama City. Gourmet international dishes with a Panamanian twist are the order of the day – all prepared using fresh local ingredients.

The Panamonte is well located in a quiet area a few minutes’ walk into Boquete town centre. Combining historic charm, modern amenities and a sophisticated touch, the Panamonte will appeal to those looking for charm, elegance and, understated comfort.
