Finca LeridaBoquete, Panama

This delightful country retreat is set a few kilometers from the hill town of Boquete. The hotel has been developed around a coffee hacienda that was originally established in 1922 and still produces some of the best coffee in Panama.

The 15 rooms and six suites are set just above the original hacienda, and the ‘historic suite’, which was the original owners’ house is also available for families. We particularly love the setting in lovely gardens with bird feeders, which attract a wide range of local birds. Surrounding the property are the coffee plantations, while directly behind it is the forest with trails and paths, which are great for hikers. And in the afternoon, what better way to chill out than to relax with a book on a hammock in your verandah?

If you have not visited a coffee hacienda before, don’t miss taking the coffee tour, where you can discover the complex process of growing, harvesting, processing and blending coffee. The property is also popular with birdwatchers, and an early morning trip with one of the local naturalists is also recommended.
