This family run hotel is tucked away in the Parque Nacional de Llanganates not far from the trekking area around Cotapaxi and with a good view of the Tungurahua volcano, which is live and smokes gently in the distance.

The emphasis here is very much about getting away to a remote area and staying in a homely environment with two friendly dogs and excellent locally sourced food, rather than staying in five star luxury. The newer rooms are located in modern style buildings a short distance from the main building and large windows make the most of the views.

The hotel is surrounded by 200 hectares of private cloud forest where guests can go hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and bird watching.
