Nayara Springs and Spa and GardenArenal, Costa Rica
Nayara Resorts is a collection of three luxury properties set over 62 acres of Costa Rican rainforest, overlooking the famous Arenal Volcano. Each property provides a different experience but some facilities are shared.
Nayara Springs is a more ‘sophisticated’ adults-only property with 35 spacious stand-alone villas, each with spring-fed private plunge pools, gardens with out-door showers and hammocks designed for two. Each villa has been designed with privacy and seclusion in mind, sheltered by tropical trees and plants. The Nayara Springs has it’s own lobby and reception area, a yoga pavilion, swimming pool, restaurants and bars, but guests can also take advantage of amenities at the Nayara Gardens next door.
Nayara Gardens connects to Nayara Springs by two elevated footbridges through the rainforest and comprises 50 free standing bungalows linked by paved walkways, but surrounded by beautiful gardens which give the feeling of complete privacy. This part of the resort is very suitable for families with a variety of excursions and family entertainment. The rooms in both properties are spacious and well appointed.
Nayara Tented Camp, opening in December 2019, will consist of 21 luxury tents, each made up of a master suite and en-suite bathroom (as well as an outdoor shower). Each tent will sit on its own platform furnished with an outdoor living area and a plunge pool filled from nearby hot springs. This part of the resort is also suitable for families, with the added excitement of feeling close to nature nut with all the mod cons of the hotel properties.
There are seven dining options within the resort, which all guests can visit. These range from the relaxed poolside area with great lunch time offerings, to Mis Amores, a light and stylish Latin Bistro specialising in pizzas and located half indoors and half outdoors, up to the smart and lavishly designed late night dining spot, Amor Loco. Our favourite is Asia Luna, an intriguing mix of classic Asian dishes with a strong Peruvian twist.
The beautifully tended gardens throughout are brimming with heliconias and other exotic plants and the natural theme extends in to the interiors of the villas, which have polished wood floors, beamed, plantation-style ceilings and four-poster beds draped in light, cotton netting.
The Nayara Tented Camp will be a welcome addition to the Nayara family.
