Tupaiú YachtThe Pantanal and Southern Amazon,Brazil
The 60 foot Tupaiú is a classic style regional yacht based on the Tapajos River. Comfortable, without being luxurious, the Tupaiú accommodates 10 passengers (12 if two of them are children) and is the perfect type of vessel for exploring this unspoilt part of the Amazon basin. There are frequent stops to swim and snorkel, or to simply relax on a deserted beach and have an evening BBQ.
The cabins are comfortable with air conditioning at night and all the woodwork is traditionally varnished hard wood. The crew include an English-speaking host and expert local naturalist guide. This part of the Amazon is beautiful and much less visited by tourists than the area around Manaus, and provides a very special experience for a family or small group of friends at reasonable cost.
