This magnificent historic hotel dates from 1921. For decades the Carrasco was the must-stay hotel of choice for visitors to Montevideo. However, it gradually declined in popularity, the fabric of the building deteriorated, and it was closed as a hotel in the late 1990s. Following a major restoration project, the hotel re-opened its doors in March 2013.

The hotel has a total of 116 rooms, including 23 suites, all furnished to offer guests a high level of comfort and privacy combining the latest hi-tech facilities with unsurpassed luxury and comfort .
