This is one of Brazil’s best hotels and was opened in 2009 to increase the natural habitat by reintroducing native flora and fauna on the 4,000 hectare estate. Not only is the Reserva set in the most stunning countryside, the main 8 bedroom house has been decorated to a very high standard.

Difficult to reach at the end of 20 kilometers of unmetalled road, a visit to this very special property is resoundingly worth the effort. All the rooms have open showers and baths, and have been tastefully and individually decorated with antique furniture that has been handpicked with the utmost attention to detail. The hotel only offers full board packages which work extremely well. Activities include excellent walking, and horseback tours with surprise picnics and best of all pop-up dinners al fresco, next to candle-lit waterfalls. The food is the best quality, yet locally sourced and all done with a respect for the place, so that you will experience familiar Brazilian dishes at an unfamiliar high standard of flavour and presentation. The Reserva is supporting the local community by creating an economy around the property, employing people from local surroundings and training them to high degrees of excellence.
